August ministry update

Earlier in the summer I described our team's new strategic approach to ministry called acceleration (see May ministry update link at right). When I wrote that entry I had no idea we would have the opportunity to begin acceleration so quickly. During our trip to Kiev in late July, the Lord provided Scott Friderich and me with a divine appointment. We had the opportunity to meet with Valeriy Alimov, one of the key leaders of the Union of Missionary Churches of Ukraine. Here's a photo of our July 28 meeting with Valeriy (he's on the left, holding his daughter) . . .

The Missionary Church union is a small, newly formed denomination, but one with great potential for growth and church planting. Our team is hoping to help them train church planters for their movement and also help them tell the story of what God is doing among them. Please pray that we will develop a trust relationship with Valeriy and pray that our assistance will truly accelerate the movement.
